Upcycled Kitesurfing Material: Giving High-Performance Waste a Second Life

Every order comes in a unique, reusable zip pouch lined with upcycled kitesurfing material. It’s our way of addressing the hidden environmental impact of specialised sports gear.

Kitesurfing kites are made from tough, waterproof materials like nylon and polyester (Dacron). These fabrics are great for performance—but not for the planet.

  • High Production Impact: Making these materials requires a lot of energy and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
  • End-of-Life Problem: They’re not biodegradable. Most retired kites—often thrown out due to small tears or new model releases—end up in landfills, where they can sit for hundreds of years.

By upcycling this fabric, we’re helping reduce waste and giving these materials a meaningful second life.

OUR THANK YOU CARDS

Made to Be Re-Used

Our thank-you cards are more than just a note—they’re small pieces of art. Designed with simple illustrations on the back, each card is made to be kept, displayed, or repurposed. It’s our way of reducing single-use packaging while adding something beautiful to your order.

Up-cycling: The Solution to Today's Waste Crisis

Up-cycling is crucial for a sustainable future. It’s the process of transforming waste into higher-value products, attacking resource consumption and pollution at its source.

  • Saves Landfills: Diverts hard-to-recycle, durable materials from overflowing sites.
  • Conserves Resources: Decreases the need for virgin (new) raw materials, saving energy and reducing pollution.
  • Drives Circularity: Replaces the unsustainable "take-make-dispose" model with a closed-loop system.
